This memorial website was created in the memory of my son, SPC Joseph Graves who was born in Castro Valley California on December 28, 1984 at 1:51 and passed away on July 25, 2006 16:66 Baghdad time at the age of 21.  Joey came to his dad and myself and told us that he wanted to join the Army.  His goal was to join the FBI and needed police background.  After talking with Joey his dad and I agreed that this was something Joey wanted to do so we signed his papers to become a MP at the age of 17.  Joey made the ultimate sacrifice and is A True American Hero.

His legacy
Joey's Legacy  
Joey was born in Castro Valley Calif. at 1:51 December 28, 1984.  On July 25, 2006 9:00pm that night I came home from work to find 2 soldiers sitting on my couch.  My heart dropped and I sat down and was told my son was killed.  His convoy was ambushed and my sons HMV was hit by a rocket.  Joey died instantly and did not suffer and was the only fatality.  The Army was great to the family and hornored Joey.

Joey was 21 when he died.  He is survived by his wife Cori Graves, his mother/step father  Maryan & Robert Perreira, his father/step mother Kevin & Leann Graves and his two brothers Bobby & Brandon Perreira.
